In 2000, Carolyn was diagnosed with a devastating degenerative eye disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP). For over 30 years prior, she had been busy building a successful beauty empire. She worked creatively heart in hand, guided by sight.
Carolyn’s vision continued to be restricted and ultimately she became totally blind. In time, this new challenge revealed itself to her as an opportunity to share her experiences for the benefit of others. At the same time, God revealed His plan for her, as she transitioned to this new phase in her life. This was the vision and inspiration that is now Insightful Visionaries, Inc., a North Carolina based non-profit that relies totally on grants and donations to fund its programs.
Carolyn was a 2020 inductee into the North Carolina Women Business Owners Hall of Fame. She currently serves on the Raleigh, North Carolina Mayor’s Committee for Persons with Disabilities and has been a featured keynote speaker at their Annual Banquet. She is a member of the Advisory Board of Enterprising Women, the North Carolina Council of the Blind and the Governor Morehead School for the Blind Alumni Association.

Veronica is originally from Louisiana and resides in Raleigh, NC with her husband, Winston and two sons, Daniel and Benjamin. She is often found volunteering in her community, Rotary, Pinnacle Financial Partners, church and with her sorority, (Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated) helping to uplift, bring awareness, and support people needing assistance. She is known for partnering with other organizations to provide resources and support their mission. Veronica has been in the banking industry for over twenty-five years. She is a Financial Advisor, SVP with Pinnacle Financial Partners where she focuses on small business and commercial lending. She also leads the Diversity Equity Inclusion Council at Pinnacle for the Eastern Region and for Rotary District 7710. She is a graduate from Fayetteville State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology Education; Executive Master’s Degree from North Carolina Central University in Public Administration and obtained her Diversity Equity Inclusion certification from Cornell University. Veronica’s zest to serve others have led to many leadership roles such as District Governor District 7710 (2023-2024); NC Eastern Region DEI Leader; Executive Board member Morrisville Chamber of Commerce, and she has served on various boards leading many committees.
Veronica has won numerous awards for her leadership, community service and community partnerships. She was recognized by TBJ 2022 as Leaders in Diversity in the Triangle and Cary Magazine 2021Women of Western Wake. She was also named Rotarian of the Year (2020-2021) and (2016-2017) and Jerimiah Morris Community Steward of the Year (2020) and (2017) by the Morrisville Chamber of Commerce. She is most proud of the work she has done to help others and mentoring other women. Since 2014 she has been the visionary and hostess of The Remarkable Woman Conference.
She is a coach, author, speaker, certified Precept Bible Study teacher, entrepreneur, coach, mentor, and mental health advocate. She is the founder and CEO of Remarkable Living Institute® a division of Cynthia White & Associates, LLC.
As an experienced branding, image and etiquette professional, she helps business professionals and entrepreneurs seeking to advance in their career or business by showcasing their brand, visually, from the inside out. She leverages her certifications and training in personal branding, image, color analysis, and etiquette to help them look, think and behave like the complete leader.
She is the author of a One-Year Planner: Rest and Build Your Best Remarkable Year and a 31-Day Devotional entitled, Rest and Builds: A 31-Day Journey to Restore Your Soul and Design a Life That Matters as well as a Bible study creator and teacher.
She is passionate about God, His Word, and inspiring women to daily live their best Remarkable Life, promised in John 10:10, despite life’s’ challenging curves and setbacks.
Her mission is to help Christian women in leadership intentionally live life by design and not by default, with grace and ease from a place of rest. By resting intentionally, living fully and leading impactfully, they will show up and make remarkable things happen for the Kingdom of God.
She has spoken and trained at numerous companies, non-profit organizations, and universities. Also, she has been an etiquette contributor for a local syndicated radio station. She taught Personal Branding to job-seekers at Wake Technical Community College as a part-time adjunct instructor in Human Resource Development.
Cynthia studied Criminal Justice at Old Dominion University and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Currently, she volunteers withNAMI(National Alliance on Mental Illness). She and her husband of 35 years, Pastor White are the parents of three adult children. In addition to serving alongside her husband, she directs the women’s ministry and the programming team at COKCC. And she is a lover of tea, fresh flowers, canning, crafting, hospitality, cooking, decorating and all things animal print.
