Soul Surfing on Purpose
Grab your cup of tea, relax, and let’s talk about surfing! Ok, so true confession: I’m afraid to surf. And the closest I have come to riding the waves has been on a bodyboard during a family summer vacation when the kids were younger.
But…I do know that life is a lot like surfing.
Surfing is an art of athleticism, combining strength, the beauty of nature and humanity.
Living your best remarkable life requires physical endurance. It takes stamina to dig deeper and see if you have what it takes to stand up against the waves of life.
Many times you find yourself surfing along enjoying the calm and smooth waters. And suddenly, your life gets interrupted by crashing waves!
You can’t control nor predict when you’ll encounter, much less survive your wave peak. Sometimes it comes pummeling in on you, without warning and you can barely catch your breath.
When you are at your breaking point, pause and do some soul surfing. Yes, life is hard! Even you, as a Remarkable Woman, can find yourself overwhelmed and overtaken by your circumstances.
Don’t despair, there’s a purpose in it all. It’s at that moment, you must REST, cling to your surfboard of faith, gather the strength and muster up enough resolve to believe that the remarkably good stuff put into you will prepare you to ride out those choppy waves.
Yes, you can mount up and freely ride the uncertain waves of life when you know that finding your deeper purpose makes the choppy waters and every high wave crest worth it!
Life is hard! But, it can be beautiful!
An incredible transformation is taking place. The God of the universe is designing a Remarkable Woman, in you, from the inside out.
Don’t despair, there’s a greater purpose at work.
Learn to REST in the One who calms the raging seas and causes them to obey Him. He has a purpose for the waves. As you cling to the board and paddle you will discover His purpose for you in the midst of rough SEA-sons.
Refuse to allow yourself to become overwhelmed and overtaken by your setbacks and difficult circumstances! Learn the power of finding REST in God’s purpose for your life.
Make the choppy waters not only count but worth it!
How’s that tea? Grab another sip before your next wave and savor the moment. Continue to live your life by design and not default.
Just last night I watched the movie “Soul Surfer!” What’s the message for me in hearing this phrase twice in 2 days?! Is it keep going, or rather, start working hard to fulfill your purpose and calling ? Could be.
Thank you, Cynthia, for the encouragement!!
Karen, thanks for the feedback! I haven’t heard of nor seen that movie. I must add it to my summer movie list. There’s nothing like confirmation that connects with your soul. Continue to live and lead well as you pursue and fulfill your life purpose.
Beautiful…this hit home for me… Love you First Lady C!
Adrienne, glad that it connected with your heart and soul. Honored to serve and support. Love you, too!
